go down the two flights of stairs, you are greeted by near darkness.
Many of the lights are not working or burned out. Not much can be said on what was where.
The EMS person who showed me around said there
was a large map room, offices, communications room.
In most of the photo's you can see the different colors painted, which suggest an area.
There are rest rooms and a boiler room. But
this seems like it was more like a ordinary Fallout Shelter.
I was thinking that there would of been blast valves, decontamination area's as you go into the
basement. But I guess not.

area's that had the REO and GMC Civil Defense Heavy Rescue Trucks.
By the records I have, it indicates that there were 3 rescue
trucks and 12 rescue trailers. The trailers were placed around the city, with one in the Parks and Rec building behind the
Detroit Office of Civil Defense in Palmer Park.
